About

My introduction to photography came at an early age. I think it was probably 1975, when I was 10 years old, that my father built a darkroom in our basement. I was fascinated by whole process -- the equipment, the smells, seeing the photographs come to life in trays filled with chemicals. It felt like magic at the time.
In high school and college, I took photos of anything and everything I could. I shot black and white and color. Family events, holidays, landscapes, cityscapes, and friends became my subjects. All film at the time. But eventually, as I got busy with life, photography took a back seat.
Over the next 20 years, I relied on my phone for photos. However, about a year ago, I found a renewed passion for photography and bought a modern digital camera. These days, I have been exploring digital photography and exploring many different subjects. This has been a welcome creative outlet, and I want to share that with others.
